Specialist warehouse clerks (m/f/d)  accept goods and store them properly. They put together deliveries for dispatch or forward goods to the appropriate places in the company. Specialist warehouse clerks mainly work for forwarding companies and other logistics service providers. In addition, they can work in industrial and trading companies in a wide variety of economic sectors: for example in the food and electronics industry, in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, in metal and vehicle construction, in printers or with manufacturers of building materials.

Vocational Training

It is a recognized training occupation according to the Vocational Training Act. The dual training takes place in the company and 1 to 2 times a week vocational school lessons. We also offer the opportunity to extend the training by another year in order to obtain a qualification as a warehouse logistics specialist.

Course of Training

The training takes place according to a company training plan in the departments of AEG Power Solutions GmbH. During your training you will pass through departments such as incoming goods, storage, data processing, shipping and material planning, in which you will be instructed and supported by experienced training officers and employees.

Training Content

• The training company (position, legal form and structure), vocational training, safety and health protection at work
• work organization; Information and communication (using workplace-related software, using foreign-language technical terms)
• Goods control and quality assurance measures (differentiate goods according to their nature and use, e.g. handle hazardous materials, customs goods and perishable goods according to their properties)
• Use of work equipment (choose work equipment for weighing, measuring and counting, maintain funding and check its functionality)
• Acceptance of goods (check accompanying documents, observe dangerous goods regulations)
• Storage of goods (labelling, sorting and preparing goods for storage, observing storage regulations)
• Picking and packaging of goods (check order documents, remove goods from storage, select suitable transport packaging)
• Dispatch of goods (provide consignments ready for loading, determine the weight and space requirements of the goods)

Requirements

• Lower secondary school leaving certificate with at least average grades in the job-related subjects of mathematics, English and data processing
