Main function: Sales & Business Development

Business Development Director is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities for the company by identifying new markets, client segments, partnerships in positioning the company’s products, creating brand awareness and coordinating public relations efforts in order to drive and secure long-term business growth.

Reports to : Global Sales VP




Main Accountabilities:

  • Develop and identifying new markets, applications, key accounts and partnerships in order to grow the order volume
    • Provide market intelligence, screening adjacent markets, new sectors, new package offering
    • Develop and maintain business roadmaps for the assigned markets
  • Leverage projects database such as EIC.
  • Apply systematic screening of key players on identified markets: database, customers interviews, evaluate specification and technical evolutions...
  • Organize coverage of targeted Customers; follow up of action plan with Sales Force and Service team.
  • Coordinate new product, offer /service development with Product management and Service
  • Identify Large Target Projects in advance
  • Acts as a facilitator for major customer projects and coordinate business partners, internal resources and distributers.
  • Challenge the large projects cost optimization analysis and analyse the competitions offers and participate to the elements of differentiations to win the job.
  • Define winning strategy/tactics for large projects in cooperation with the Sales team.
  • Developing and delivering business plans by carrying out research and conducting market analysis and delivering accurate business cases and reports.
  • Manage brand awareness for the assigned markets in order to position the company
    • Monitor market developments, identify threats and opportunities in order to develop a market approach
    • Initiate and develop commercial and marketing initiatives
  • Monitor and report business orders, sales and competitive position to initiate corrective action
    • Proactively consult and advise Management, Sales and Product Management in their activities within the assigned vertical market in order to enhance decision making process in setting goals and strategies
  • Provide support for customer events (,lunch and learn sessions’), training of the sales forces.




Education, knowledge and working experience:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, ideally completed with a MBA
  • 5+ years of relevant experience within similar roles in the power industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of particular power electronic products and its markets, sales driven
  • Good understanding of the business terms and conditions
  • Experience and good knowledge of marketing and sales strategies
  • Experience in communication and negotiation on top management level
  • Computer Literacy
  • Fluent in English
