General Information

Main function: Strategic Project Lead

The company is positioned on the fast-moving power protection and energy transition business. The new management team has undertaken several far-reaching initiatives to address growing markets demands and improve continuously its operational processes to boost the company performance. These initiatives are articulated around core and new markets growth, product portfolio optimization, solutions delivery and organization.

The Strategic Project Lead Position is responsible for supporting the Management Team (CEO, CFO, functional VP’s) with leading multi-functional teams to deliver strategic initiatives, which are crucial for the value growth of the Company. This includes management of issues, risks and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. The Strategic Project Lead has the authority to run projects on a day-to-day basis and verifies that the project produces the required deliverables, within the specified constraints of time and cost and to achieve the potential benefits as defined in the business case.

Role responsabilities 

Main Accountabilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of cross-functional strategic growth projects and selected continuous improvement projects alongside functional Vice Presidents
  • Lead various project teams by motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
  • Prepare estimates and detailed project plans for all phases of the projects
  • Prepare and/or drive completion of business case, including cost-benefit analysis through DCF and ROI/pay-back calculations
  • Manage project scope and changes
  • Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables
  • Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and challenges, required actions and results and communicate across leadership team
  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment, demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
  • Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies and tools to expand and mature these project management capabilities for the organization.
  • Manage the day-to-day project activities and resources and chairs the project management team meetings
  • Set and continually manage project expectations while delegating and managing deliverables with team members and stakeholders
  • Identify and develop a trust relationship with project stakeholders and sponsors
  • Deliver appropriate and effective executive level communication and reporting to the CEO, CFO and the Board of Directors

  • Successful and on-time and on-budget delivery of strategic initiatives
  • Strategic benefits achieved as per business case

 

Core competencies

Education, knowledge and working experience:

  • Degree in Engineering and/or business management, ideally completed with a MBA
  • 5+ years’ experience with a leading strategic consulting firm
  • 7+ years of project management experience, including planning, tracking and leading projects
  • 7+ years of experience working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional matrix environment
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Extensive experience with MS Project/Enterprise Projects or similar tool
  • Excellent experience in Agile, SAFe environment, SCRUM and Waterfall
  • Ideally experience in SAP S/4 HANA
  • Fluent in English
