Central UPS monitoring via remote display

As the reliable partner of a large German hypermarket chain, IBM was commissioned with the establishment of their POS and IT systems.  The reliability of the systems and the smooth operation of sales transactions, even during power outages, were of prime importance.

 

Depending on the site conditions, the UPS had to be installed in different, sometimes difficult to access, locations.  The solution required was a simple, central monitoring facility where all electronic devices converged.  

 

With the remote panel from AEG Power Solutions, this was achieved over distances of up to 150m. The remote panel makes it possible for both the visual and audible alarm signals from the UPS to be displayed remotely on a wall-mounted panel
