Job description

Attached to the company's Sales Department, the Sales Engineer's mission is to develop turnover and profitability by prospecting and prescribing uninterrupted power supply solutions, energy conversion systems and services to new accounts.
Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Define and propose a sales development plan in line with the company's strategy,
  • Participate in the definition and implementation of the strategy,
  • Achieve the assigned business objectives,
  • Visit customers and learn about on-going and coming projects, understand the organization of the customer's project team and identify decision-making members and teams
  • Read the customer specifications and transmit the technical specifications of the RFQ to the field application engineer in charge of costing the solution,
  • Set the costing strategy with the head of sales department, the pre-sales department and the Operations department,
  • Establish the commercial offer including the technical offer, the project planning, the logistics services, the documentation, the contractual conditions and the after-sales services,
  • Organize the bids reviews and lead the offers group around the technical, commercial and contractual issues of the project,
  • Organize the contract review in connection with the project manager for the success of the project realization,
  • Participate to the acceptance of the project with the project manager, the test department and the customers or the representatives of the customers,
  • Provide the Marketing and Engineering departments with information contributing to the trend of the market and the expected solutions,
  • Reporting / monitoring of the activity and establish the business forecasts (monthly report, sales forecasts, budget progress),
  • Feed the CRM tool to improve the traceability of offers and customer follow-up


Required profile

  • Original training: Electrical Engineering level
  • Commercial experience of at least 5 years, in a sector with a strong technical culture and with a large projects background, experience in the management of large BtoB accounts
  • Results driven, good analytical skills and strength of proposal in the face of various technical and commercial issues
  • Ability to work in a team and mobilize around a project team
  • Strong skills in commercial negotiation and ability to close a case
  • English language required both orally and in writing
  • Computer skills (office pack, desired experience on CRM and SAP tool)
  • Remuneration to be negotiated according to profile and experience
