Thyrobox BWT is a customized DC power supply for on-board use according to the requirements of the manufacturer of electrochlorination ballast water treatment systems. AEG Power Solutions can provide the customer with required certifications upon request. AEGPS’s voltage sequence control (VSC) technology guarantees a high power factor and low-harmonics (THDi) as well as a high degree of robustness and efficiency. The basic technology has been around since the late 1950’s but was substantially improved when thyristors (SCRs) were introduced for variable step control in the 1970’s. AEG PS developed this technology even further using a continuous control system and a state-of-theart SCR and controller hardware platform.
