Zwanenburg, The Netherlands, September 29, 2021- AEG Power Solutions, a global provider of power supply systems and solutions for all types of critical and demanding applications, today announced the new generation of its 10 to 20 kVA transformer-less UPS series with the launch of Protect 1 LCD, the enhanced generation of its Protect 1 former series.
With no compromise to reliability, the system features the highest versatility of use in its category thanks to its unique flexibility of phase configuration. The UPS is settable at 3/3, 3/1 or 1/1 input/output phases with no additional device. Up to 3 units can be connected in parallel, also offering scalability and additional redundancy.
Highly flexible, Protect 1 LCD combines high efficiency values at a compact footprint. The system is a double conversion UPS (VFI SS 111), Thanks to its full IGBT technology it features low input THDi with almost unity input power factor. The system AC/AC efficiency is up to 96% and when operating in Eco Mode, up to 98%. Optimizing energy conversion and saving valuable floorspace for operations thank to its compactness, Protect 1 LCD offers a minimized overall cost of ownership.
The battery solution is designed to support flexible autonomy time and its easy extension. The integrated battery provides 4-7 minutes of autonomy and up to 6 external battery packs can be connected in parallel. The high charging current of up to 13 A decreases the recharging time even for long autonomy times.
Protect 1 LCD system is an ideal robust power supply solution for small and medium-sized critical applications when the power consumption, the footprint reliability and flexibility of use are key. It is an ideal backup solution for a wide range of applications from IT and manufacturing to retail and transportation, even when environmental conditions are difficult as the system operates at up to 40°C without derating and can tolerate up to 50°C (with power derating).
While offering local administration via a 4.3" color touch screen and multilingual display with status LEDs, it also provides a wide range of connectivity options (Dry contacts board, RPO and free slot for SNMP card), for remote management.
The cost-effective and flexible Protect 1 LCD is easy to use and versatile as it can be set up to the full range of phases configurations. It supports many types of operational conditions (voltage, altitude, temperature) and provides a strong overload protection, all in a compact footprint.
