AEG Power Solutions is proud to contribute to the „𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝘆𝘇𝗲 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗴𝗮𝘀- 𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗞𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗸 𝗕ü𝘁𝘇𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗴“ 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗱𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗮𝗺𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗴, where innovative technology meets sustainable energy production.

The green hydrogen is produced from surplus electricity generated from renewables then added to the organic waste fermentation process to converts the CO₂ contained in the biogas into methane, which is then injected into the gas network. The project integrates a 1 MW PEM electrolyzer, hydrogen storage, and advanced process technology, delivered by FRIEDRICH VORWERK Unternehmensgruppe, showcasing the real synergy between renewable gas an d hydrogen sectors.

The AEG Power Solutions system supplies the electrolyzer with high efficient and grid-compliant DC power conversion system composed of two stages rectifier (Thyristor + IGBT Chopper) and MV/LV transformer. Our Energy Transition team was selected for its proven track record (300MW+ installed base), delivering reliable and high-quality results.

𝗜𝗻 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, the Bützberg plant represents an important step forward for the hydrogen economy.
