DC-4 Industrial High-Power DC Power Supply for Green Hydrogen Production

DC-4 from AEG Power Solutions fulfils the most stringent power supply requirements for demanding industrial processes: high efficiency and stability of output voltage in combination with sinusoidal AC input current waveform. In line with the requirements of those processes, power consumption is as close as possible to a sine wave form and the system has a power factor greater than 0.99.

 

DC-4 is based on a proven IGBT-Rectifier (VIENNA architecture) to allow fully controlled DC voltage output and zero reactive power demand. Due to the wide output voltage range, load voltages from 650 V up to 1500 V can be achieved with DC-4. The maximum output current of each module is 2000 A. Thanks to its modularity and to the capability of interconnecting 8 units into one power block, higher power requirements can be easily met.

 

The robust and compact design of the DC-4 enables utilization even in harsh environments.

 

DC-4 supplies demanding industrial processes and meets the grid connection requirements without installing additional power factor correction or harmonic filters. This allows to increase the efficiency and decrease the installation and operational costs to combine the highest level of reliability with the best economic results over the life cycle.

To increase power density and to allow easier installation on site, a new base frame solution for two DC-4 systems is proposed by AEG Power Solutions. The immediate benefit is that integration is easier in larger systems and it significantly decreases the handling and installation costs on site.
